David and Victoria Beckham are going to be parents once again, as the former Spice Girl is pregnant, according to People magazine. “David and Victoria Beckham are delighted to confirm they are expecting their fourth child in the summer,” they announced in a statement. “Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz are very excited about the arrival of their new brother or sister.”
There’s at least one person who reportedly isn’t happy to hear rumors about Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock getting cozy, and that’s Reynolds’ estranged wife, Scarlett Johansson. “Less than a month after they split that fool has gone and got himself photographed with [Bullock] on New Year’s Eve of all days. Of course she is devastated,” a source explains to Popeater. “Even if they are not a couple yet, this is very awkward for Scarlett. She too thinks of Sandy as a friend and hates the thought that Sandy is on team Ryan after the breakup, that is if she isn’t already his girlfriend.”
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes may be sitting out this year’s Oscars because they don’t want to see co-host Anne Hathaway, according to the Daily Mail. “Tom and Katie don't want to have to cross paths with Anne,” a source says. The couple reportedly feels slighted because Hathaway mocked Holmes on “Saturday Night Live” in November, even though they’d been supportive of Hathaway after her difficult split from Raffaello Follieri in 2008. “Katie feels they were really supportive at a difficult time, so she feels let down that Anne took to national TV to make fun of her,” the source says. “Anne didn’t even warn her it was going to be on TV.”
Natalie Portman earned a special award at the Palm Springs International Film Festival — and a roasting from ex-boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal along with it. “Natalie is the Audrey Hepburn of our generation. She is elegant, graceful, has amazing eyebrows ... is talented, really short, funny, smart, dedicated, incredibly kind,” Gyllenhaal said while presenting her with the award, according to People magazine. “She’s a vegan, which makes it really frustrating when you’re picking a place to eat,” he added. “She’s also recently announced that she’s going to be a mom, and her child will probably need therapy after seeing ‘Black Swan.’”
Johnny Depp says owning an island in the Caribbean is more than just a luxury — it’s a necessity. “The island might sound extravagant but I need somewhere I can breathe easily or just sit around and chat without someone taking my picture,” he tells Red Bulletin magazine. It also helps him avoid the gadgets that have become so popular in the rest of the world. “Sometimes I’d like to run away screaming from our technology-obsessed world, the invasive media, the madness of reality TV,” he says. “We’ve lost touch with the simple things of life. We’re losing our individuality.”
It’s more bad news for Eva Longoria, as her Las Vegas restaurant, Beso, has filed for bankruptcy for restructuring purposes, according to the Las Vegas Sun. The restaurant, which opened two years ago, grossed $14.6 million last year but is currently $5.7 million in debt, according to the report. Longoria owns 32 percent of the restaurant and is listed as a creditor on the court filing, as she invested $1 million in the company.
