[Global Korea]Distortion of North Korean Army 'Militia Revealed Behind Mask'.

Gwangju stated that they have found 'The One' in the picture from 5.18 which was distorted to be a North Korean soldier behind the mask who led the tyrants. Gwangju and the Historical Distortion Measure Committee said that they will file charges against those who denounced the two soldiers in the pictures wearing the mask as North Koreans. The police found out that the two people, who covered their faces with a towel, riding on the jeep, were Lim Sung Taek and Mr. Gu. It has been told that Lim was in the special strike forces during the 5·18. There people revealed themselves as those in the picture after being informed by the public report that the city is searching for the militia behind the mask in the picture. Gwangju is making its move starting on the 3rd of last month to search for the militia behind masks and take legal actions toward those who distorted the 5·18 and defamation.

[글로벌 코리아]북한군 왜곡 '복면 속 시민군' 찾았다

광주시가 일부 세력이 "광주에서 폭동을 주도한 것은 복면을 한 북한군"이라고 왜곡했던 5·18 관련 사진 속 주인공들을 찾았다.

광주시와 5·18 역사왜곡대책위원회는 14일 "5·18 당시 복면을 쓰고 활동한 사진 속 시민군 2명을 최근 찾았다"며 "이들을 북한군으로 매도했던 왜곡세력에 대해 민·형사상 대응을 본격적으로 할 것"이라고 밝혔다. 경찰 방석모에 얼굴을 수건으로 가린 채 지프에 올라타 있는 사진 속 인물은 임성택씨와 구모씨로 확인됐다. 임씨 등은 5·18 당시 시민군 기동타격대원으로 활동했다.

이들은 '광주시가 복면 속 시민군을 찾는다'는 언론보도를 접하고 시를 찾아 사진속 인물임을 밝혔다. 이들은 5·18 구속부상자회 회원이기도 했다. 임씨 등의 행적은 당시 수사기록과 판결문에서도 확인됐다.

광주시는 5·18 왜곡, 폄하가 끊이질 않자 법적 대응 방침을 밝히고 명예훼손의 피해자 특정 등을 위해 지난 3월부터 복면 시민군 찾기 활동을 벌이고 있다.
