Audi's electric car covers 500km with 15minutes of charge.. what about Korea?

Electric car industry is advancing at a fast pace in global market.

Korean cars can only cover about 100km on a single charge which does not even cover a round trip from Seoul to Busan whereas Audi developed a car that covers 500km on a single charge. Electric cars are unpopular in Korea due to the shorter driving distance compared to diesel and gasoline cars and a lack of recharging stations.

Volkswagen, a global leading company in electric car industry, presented a vision of electric cars that cover a long driving distance and a fast charge.

Audi, a luxurious brand of Volkswagen, held an auto show at 7:30 on the 14th in Fraport arena in Frankfurt. Martin Winterkorn, the chairman of Volkswagen, said that the company will focus on Electric vehicle and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles.

[IAA]아우디 전기차 15분 충전에 500km 주행..한국은?

글로벌 전기자동차 시장이 급속도로 진화하고 있다. 아우디는 1회 충전에 500km 이상을 가는 차량을 개발한 반면 한국 전기차는 1회 충전 후 갈 수 있는 거리가 100여km 안팎에 불과해 부산-서울간 왕복도 안된다. 휘발유·경유 차보다 주행가능 거리가 훨씬 짧은데다 충전시설도 찾기 어려워 외면 받고 있다.

전기차 시장의 글로벌 리더인 폭스바겐그룹은 주행 거리가 길고 배터리 충전이 아주 빠른 자율주행 전기차 미래 비전을 제시했다. 폭스바겐의 고급 브랜드 아우디는 14일 오후 7시 30분(현지시간) 독일 프랑크푸르트 프라포트아레나에서 신차발표회를 열었다.
