While managerial patents of the three duty shops in Seoul and the one in Pusan are closing on the 25th, the bidding of duty free shops are pointed out to be the fest of millionaires.

There are 4 places that the patent cover is over in November and in December, Lotte Duty free in Seoul, Sogol World Tower, Walker Hill Duty Free shop of SK networks and Sinsegea in Pusan.

As maintenance and a siege, Dusan, SK, Sinsegea and Lotte put their steps in it.

According to the market, there is a high possibility that Sinsegea and Dusan are going to support all the three duty shops in Seoul Any companies have been freed to join this patent bidding process with no restrictions every 5years after the customs law changed in 2013. Before then, duty free shop patenting had been renewed automatically every 10 years. New duty free shops, golden goose that lays golden eggs, is becoming a place for millionaires.

Mediocre sized companies and small merchants have been ruled out from the new arrangement of the patents over duty shops in down town in June.

특혜 주고 받는 건 교통체증

25일 서울(3곳)과 부산(1곳)의 면세점 운영특허권 신청이 마감되는 가운데 이번 면세점 입찰도 재벌들만의 잔치에 그치고 있는 것으로 지적된다.

11~12월 특허 기간이 끝나 사업자를 다시 선정하는 시내 면세점은 서울의 롯데면세점 소공점·월드타워점, SK네트웍스의 워커힐면세점 그리고 신세계면세점 부산점 등 4곳이다

수성(守城) 과 동시에 공성(攻城)차원에서 롯데(회장 신동빈)·신세계(부회장 정용진)·SK(회장 최태원)·두산(회장 박용만) 그룹이 출사표를 냈다.

업계에 따르면 신세계와 두산은 서울 면세점 3곳 모두에 지원할 가능성이 큰 것으로 알려지고 있다.

10년마다 자동 갱신되던 면세점 특허가 2013년 관세법 개정으로 5년마다 특허권을 놓고 어느 기업이든 제한없이 입찰에 참여할 수 있게 됐다. 황금알을 낳는 사업으로 비유되는 신규 면세점은 재벌들의 격전장이 돼가고 있다.

지난 7월 있었던 시내면세점 특허권 신규 배정에서도 중소기업들과 영세상인들은 제외됐다.
